Control program was running, but each exposure was taking an order of magnitude longer than it should, and resulting data were not useful. Remote desktop access to the PC was not working. Did a power-cycle reboot of the control PC, after which the instrument appeared to be working normally. I then erased all existing spectra files for the day, did steps/order & phase map calibrations, and restarted routine obs. All spectral data then looked good. However the real-time analysis products still looked awful. I am hoping this is just because the analysis was somehow still using instrument functions from the earlier period when all spectra were severely distorted. Hopefully the post-processed data should be fine. MC 29-Dec-2012 (Update 31-Dec-2012: Post-processed data are just fine - excellent, in fact.)
